Hello blog world! It has been another forever since I have been on my poor neglected blog. Oh well, no excuses, no reasons, no story. Just waving hello and jumping right in. I’m joining a blog challenge with Effy Wild, to blog every day in September. So here we go! Can I do it? You will have to come check up on me to see!
I love September. It makes me think of fall, of leaves changing color, of weather turning cooler, nights getting longer, starting school. Speaking of starting school, I have signed up for five embroidery workshops that started either the end of August or that start this month. I don’t know what goes on in my little head sometimes. How on earth am I ever going to keep up with FIVE embroidery workshops?? I can’t! Tis impossible! Oh well, I will have fun trying. And my starts, because I promise I will start each and every one, will show up here this month. Aha! Another reason to come back and visit me!
Another thing that September means to me is a harvesting of things…the fall equinox, which is also the time of Mabon, the second harvest festival. The fall equinox is a time of equal day and night, a moment of balance, a moment of stillness before shifting into the dark time of the year. It is an easing into the quiet, into a reflective state, a time of preparation for the death and regeneration the Crone brings with winter. It is time to see what is going on in my life, what is working for me and also what is not working for me.
So that is what is on my mind. Now, what’s on my needles?
My current cross stitch WIP, Satsuma Street’s Halloween Cat. I’m stitching this as part of a SAL on facebook, Carla and Leo’s Halloween SAL.
I will leave you with my Fall Goddess.
