Smalls SAL

I am participating in Stitching Lotus' Smalls SAL, where you stitch one small piece each month. So here is my small for January.

It will be a little Halloween ornament for my Halloween tree at work. This is also my Halloween ornament for the Halloween Ornie SAL.

I love spiders, and I will confess that I allow them to live in my house. So although the cobwebs in the corners may make you think that I am a sloppy or indifferent housekeeper (which I probably am, but that is beside the point), it is really because I am a most hospitable spider hostess. So when I saw the little spider nestling on the witch hat, I just had to stitch him!

Adorable! (Even if I can't say I share your love of spiders!)

It looks so great!

Truthfully, I really don't like spiders. They really scare me. I don't know why, since they are really small and harmless.

We get lots of spiders in the house at different times of the year. I don't mind most of them, though we get black widows, and those have to die!! :) Your stitching is really cute!!
