What have I been up to?

It has certainly been a while since my last post! I have been busy, busy.

School finished up the first week of May, and I was sad to have it end. I really enjoyed my two classes, and teaching the accounting class. I will be teaching Accounting 1 in the fall, and I am looking forward to that. I have also signed up for a full load of art classes, but I may end up having to go back to work. :o( We shall see...maybe I will be able to put off working for one more semester.

Since school ended, I have been stitching and knitting a lot. Sharon B started a new embroidery community, Stitching Fingers. I am enjoying being a part of it. One of the groups within the community is doing her Take A Stitch Tuesday from last year, and I joined it. Here is my first sampler - Herringbone Stitch.

Mississippi NeedleArts brought Barbara Jackson in for a crewel workshop. The project was Strawberry Trio, and I actually finished it! It was a fast and easy project, and I think it is just darling.

In addition to that, I have almost finished Oksana's Sampler, and when I do get it finished I will post a picture.

I started a new GCC, Crewel Choices. I have already worked two stitches I have never done before - Portuguese knot and twisted chain stitch. Fun!

On the knitting front, I have started two mystery shawl knit-alongs. One is fingering weight and one is lace weight. I will have to stretch them out and take pictures.

I am going to end this post by admitting to doing something TOTALLY out of character for me. I actually put my embroidery down to go to the kitchen to fetch a glass of ice water for a male. Oh, not for Mark, no way. If I did that for him, it would only be so he could wear the ice water for having the nerve to ask that of me. No, this male was way cuter, and more irresistible (sorry Mark).

Yes, I actually got up to get him a glass of ice water. He always has his face in my water glass, but this time I drank the last of it. As I was drinking it, he stretched out his little paw and tapped the glass. Who could resist??? Sigh...I am such a sucker for a furry face. :o)

Normally I go for those clean cut no facial hair kind of men, but I have to admit that yours is kinda cute. Great photo. Oh and your embroidery work is awesome!

And after that he had to go and bite you! Bad Merlin. :-)

Amazing! I thought I had the only cat in the world to drink from glasses. Great picture :)
