Beautiful morning

It is a beautiful morning. I’ve been outside knitting on my Berry socks. It started out kinda cloudy, but the sun is out now. It is so peaceful and quiet in the morning. I love to get up early and have some time to myself when everyone else is asleep.

Here is a progress picture of my socks. The pattern came from one of my sock groups, but I can’t remember which one now. It started out as a mystery pattern. We were just given the stitch itself, and we had to figure out how many to do and how to repeat it. The stitch looks like little berries to me, so I call them my berry socks. The leg came out kind of poofie; I wish I could remember which group this came from so I could see other pictures of it. Oh well, they are my socks and I love them! LOL

My roses are blooming. My yellow roses are my favorites. They evoke all the good feelings of summer and sunshine in me. :o)

Wedding Vow Renewal

My wedding anniversary is May 29, and we will have been married for 25 years this Tuesday. Yesterday Mark and I renewed our vows in a Handfasting Ceremony performed by Danny and Gwen, our very good friends. My daughter came down and was my beautiful bridesmaid. Lelon, another very special friend, served as Mark’s best man. It was a lovely ceremony, made complete by our circle of friends. We said our own vows, and Mark simply spoke from his heart, while I had to write mine down so I wouldn’t forget what to say. :o)

Danny’s mother made our cake. It was gorgeous, and the best cake I’ve ever tasted!! My dear friend Katie did the beautiful flowers for me.

It was a wonderful day of celebration. :o)
