Christmas Mouse

A mouse had taken up residence in my kitchen, a not-very-mouse-friendly place to live as it is also home to Honey Bear, the ferocious mouse huntress, Flea, always up for a game of chase, and the apex hunter, Evil Kitty Baby. Mark put a live trap under my stove drawer, and we caught him this afternoon. I was ecstatic! Mark and I took him out by the pond on the other side of the run off stream (in hopes that he won't come back) and let him go. He was so cute. He scooted under the leaves by a tree, and we looked at each other for a minute. I explained to him that he was really better off outside. I'm not sure he believed me, as it is cold and rainy out tonight. I hope the little fellow has a nice long mousey life.

Ewwww! I would freak out if there was a rodent in the house. :-D Outside, fine...but I can't imagine indoors. The dogs must have gone NUTS!

You are such a gentle and tender-hearted soul. At least the animals didn't make it a play-toy.
